Aivi Luik and Michelle Heyman's Brøndby were crowned Champions of Denmark despite losing 3 – 0 to their great rivals Fortuna Hjørring on the final day of the Danish Championship. Last weekend's 2 – 0 win over BSF gave Brøndby an unassailable 4 point lead going into the final match ensuring Saturday's match with Fortuna was a mere formality.
Fortuna Hjørring on the other hand had more on the line as a 94th minute injury time goal saw Leena Khamis' side go down to Skovbakken the previous week. The loss saw Skovbakken on level points with Fortuna with Khamis' team requiring a win over Brøndby to ensure Champions League football.
