Want an exciting, fun and great way to get some touch and match practice ahead of the 2012 winter football season?

Well then the Johnny Warren Football Foundation is pleased to announce it will be running a women's summer football competition known as the ‘Summer Sevens'.
JW Summer_Sevens_Flyer

The Women’s tournament is part of the Johnny Warren Festival of Sport held this February in Jamberoo and all proceeds from the event go to the Johnny Warren Football Foundation which helps develop the stars of the future and disadvantaged Indigenous youth through its charity programs.

An open age event, this is the first tournament the Foundation has run for women and aims to capitalise on the success of its over 35’s Seven a side tournament which raises much needed funds for the Johnny Warren Football Foundation.

The tournament follows a World Cup style tournament and is open to all women’s teams, with entry fees set at $500 per team and the winners will walk away with $1,000 prize money.

DETAILS:

Date: Saturday, 11 February to Sunday, 12 February 2012
Cost: $500 a team (max 10 players).
Age:  Open to all players of all skill levels over 16 years of age
Prize: $1000 Prize money for the winning team!

A seven a side competition, each team is guaranteed at least 3 games (Approx 30 mins each depending on numbers) and with pre-season matches hard to come by at this time of the year it is ideal preparation and game time for those looking to get fit for all skill levels

All the funds raised go to helping raise funds for the Johnny Warren Football Foundation – a charity that helps improve the lives of underprivileged and Indigenous children through football.

So what are you waiting for?
