07. Star Performers of 2012
Domestically and internationally, 2012 was a big year for several players. Whether shining in the W-League in a champion side, tearing it up in overseas competitions, scoring spectacular goals against the Olympic champs or marking the world's best, several senior and U20s players made their mark in 2012.

Melbourne Victory and Sydney FC fought out an entertaining 1-1 draw in their W-League clash at Wembley Reserve.

No fairytale farewell for Sermanni
The fitting farewell outgoing Westfield Matildas coach Tom Sermanni deserved and wanted didn’t eventuate this evening, as Australia fell short of EAFF Women’s East Asian Cup qualification by virtue of a 2-1 loss to China PR.
