We have been a little lax in our Aussie Abroad Wrap, for which we apologise, but we are back up and running. With 17 players (yes 17) currently overseas, we will be very busy over the next couple of months. This weekend saw the US leagues kick off, while there was action for Australians in Sweden, Germany, Denmark and England.
2011 was a year of fantastic achievement and missed opportunity for the Matildas. This Unofficial Yearbook encaptures 2011 through the eyes of coach Tom Sermanni, captain Melissa Barbieri and several other key players. It also contains player profiles, a 2011 photo album and a summary of all games.

At the end of Season Four of the Westfield W-League, record number of Matildas and Australian players have departed to test their skills in international leagues from Europe to the USA. The migration of Australian players in nothing new but the numbers are close to unprecedented.
Managing players such as Kyah Simon, Tameka Butt, Michelle Heyman and Leena Khamis, Sydney player manager Bill Drossos has been in the thick of the action and we chatted to him about getting Australian players overseas.

It's finally here! After 12 weeks, 10 rounds, 35 games and 125 goals, we are down to the final four teams in the Westfield W-League; Canberra United, Brisbane Roar, Sydney FC and Melbourne Victory. This weekend the final four battle it out for the right to play in the 2012 Westfield W-League Grand Final.
