From France to Sweden, several players were in action midweek participating in pre-season friendlies and gaining game time in the prestigious UEFA Women's Champions League.  We have a review at how they fared in their various hit outs as well as look at the weekend fixures.

At the end of Season Four of the Westfield W-League, record number of Matildas and Australian players have departed to test their skills in international leagues from Europe to the USA. The migration of Australian players in nothing new but the numbers are close to unprecedented.

Managing players such as Kyah Simon, Tameka Butt, Michelle Heyman and Leena Khamis, Sydney player manager Bill Drossos has been in the thick of the action and we chatted to him about getting Australian players overseas.

A goal from leading scorer Michelle Heyman was enough to decide the first Westfield W-League Semi-Final in favour of Canberra United as they defeated a stubborn Melbourne Victory in front of 1785 at McKellar Park in Canberra.

The first semi-final pits minor premiers Canberra United up against the fourth placed Melbourne Victory at McKellar Park.  In Season Four battles between these two protagonists have been tight and tense and this Saturday promises to be no different. 

It's finally here! After 12 weeks, 10 rounds, 35 games and 125 goals, we are down to the final four teams in the Westfield W-League;  Canberra United, Brisbane Roar, Sydney FC and Melbourne Victory.  This weekend the final four battle it out for the right to play in the 2012 Westfield W-League Grand Final.

Canberra United have secured top place on the Westfield W-League table for the season with a 5-0 win over Adelaide United in their round 11 Westfield W-League encounter at Mackellar Park on Saturday afternoon.

Canberra United's bid to become the first Westfield W-League side to go through a season undefeated remains alive after securing a 1-1 draw with Melbourne Victory at the Veneto Club on Friday.

Canberra United have maintained top spot on the Westfield W-League ladder with a well-earned 2-1 win over the Newcastle Jets at Adamstown Oval on Sunday afternoon.
