Roar through on penalties
Brisbane Roar will meet Canberra United in the Westfield W-League grand final after eliminating Sydney FC in a sensational penalty-shootout win at Queensland Sport and Athletic Centre on Sunday afternoon.

Victory fire into finals
Melbourne Victory will enter the Westfield W-League finals campaign on a high after torching Adelaide United 4-1 at windswept Burton Park.
After the Reds got on the board first through Marijana Rajcic, Melbourne replied with three first-half goals inside the space of 14 minutes - the last two seemingly unintentional, aided by a stiff north-westerly breeze - and a fourth in the dying seconds of the contest courtesy of Kendall Fletcher to transform a potential upset into a rout.

Perth finish on a high
Newcastle Jets' Westfield W-League finals hopes came to an end with a shock 4-2 loss to Perth Glory at 6PR Stadium.
Going into the final round, the Jets needed to beat Perth and hope Adelaide United could complete an upset by taking the three points against Melbourne Victory, but goals to Katarina Jukic, Carys Hawkins, Elisa D'Ovidio and Marianna Tabain ensured Newcastle couldn't complete their end of the bargain.
Roar secure second
Brisbane have secured a Westfield W-League home semi-final with a closely-contested 1-0 own-goal victory over Sydney at Queensland Sport and Athletic Centre.
With the Sky Blues requiring a victory to leapfr og the Roar and take hosting rights for next week's semi between the two, the rivals went chance for chance through an exciting 90 minutes, and could only be separated by Terasa Polias' deflection into her own net in the 32nd minute.
Sydney seal finals berth
Sydney FC have guaranteed their place in the Westfield W-League finals with a comfortable 3-0 win over Perth Glory at 6PR Stadium on Saturday.
