While the Sydney FC team is one chock full of stars, this year it has been their lesser well known players that have steered the Sky Blues into the finals. They include the likes of Renee Rollason, Teresa Polias and backline general Danielle Brogan.
Now with captain Heather Garriock out for the rest of the season, defender Brogan will stand in to lead Sydney for the rest of the W-League campaign.

Canberra United have announced the signing of New Zealand international and former Perth Glory striker Emma Kete. Kete joins the W-League leaders for the final four weeks of the season.

It was the shock news that caused much conjecture when a fortnight ago former Perth Glory international imports Emma Kete and Lisa Marie Woods were released from the club.
Apart of a released joint statement, both players have relatively kept their silence despite plenty of rumours bandied about with both players. New Zealand striker Emma Kete spoke with us to about her release and her plans for 2012. 
Football West, who oversee the management and conduct of the Perth Glory Women's team, has released New Zealander Emma Kete and Norwegian Lisa Marie Woods from its playing roster for the 2011/12 Westfield W-League season.
