So after 10 rounds, 42 games, 128 goals,  its down to 2.  Sydney FC v Brisbane Roar in the Season Two Westfield W-League Grand Final.  Sydney have been in sensational form.  Since their Round 1 defeat to the Central Coast Mariners, the sky blues have not tasted defeat and will be wanting that tread to continue this Saturday.  For Brisbane, this season has been a little tougher for the defending champions with injuries to key personnel throughout the season.  Regardless, they come into the final with a return of form and will once again be formidable in the decider.  Winner takes all in the 43rd and final game of the season!

Despite their loss in the final round, the Central Coast Mariners have had a remarkable season and were recognised with several awards at the WWL Awards.  Finishing in second place rewards the Mariners with a home semi-final and against the reigning champions, every advantage would be welcomed.  The Brisbane Roar look to be back on track with their 6 - 0 win over the Jets but the late season 'slump' has meant that they will be playing their first away final.  Their round 3 meeting at Ballymore was decided by a late goal so with little between them, this should be cracker of a semi.

Sydney FC host Canberra United in the Major Semi-final at Toyota Park (Shark Park).  Sydney found themselves minor premiers after defeating the Central Coast Mariners in the last round of the regular season.   Canberra however, sweated it out for a couple more hours as they waited to hear that Perth had defeated Melbourne 2 - 0.  The last time they met it was Sydney FC who came out 2 - 1 victors in a tight contest.  Neither side had hit their straps at that time so that form can be thrown out the window in the battle for a grand final berth.

Perth Glory pulled of the heist of the season when they defeated the Brisbane Roar 2 - 1.  While for the Melbourne Victory they put themselves in the box seat for the last finals place with a 1 - 0 win over Canberra United.
