Matildas: Champions of Asia!
The Westfield Matildas have braved one of their toughest ever encounters to beat DPR Korea on penalties and win the 2010 AFC Women’s Asian Cup.
On their second attempt for Asia’s biggest football prize the Westfield Matildas defied a rain-soaked and humid Chengdu night and a rapidly deteriorating pitch to become the first Australian team to win the Asian Cup.

The Westfield Matildas have produced a defensive master class at the Chengdu Sports Center to overcome Japan 1-nil in the semi-final of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup.
The result means Australia have not only won through to the 2010 AFC Women’s Asian Cup Final but have qualified first through Asia for the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011 in Germany.

Under 13 Girls squad named for AFC Under 13 Girls Festival of Football?
Westfield Australian Under 13 Girls National Team Head Coach Nicola Williams has named her squad that will participate in the AFC – Festival of Football in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, from 20th June to 3rd July 2010.
The squad was selected from a squad of thirty (30) players that were initially identified at the 2010 FFA National Junior Championships for Girls to attend a training camp at the Australian Institute of Sport.
